Your Workplace

The psychiatric inpatient care consists of a psychiatric emergency department, five care wards, and the Addiction Center, which is a residential care home.

The psychiatric inpatient care is made up of approximately 190 employees with various professional backgrounds. Together, we provide care and treatment for acutely mentally ill individuals who need specialized psychiatric care, around the clock.

Our healthcare is knowledge-based and purposeful, individualized, efficient, and equitable. We work with patient-centered care that is based on the individual patient's needs. Care should be provided close to the patient and on the patient's terms.

Your Responsibilities

The work takes place in care teams where you are the contact person for one or more patients. The care team is responsible for providing good psychiatric nursing, where the participation of patients and their relatives is important. You will also collaborate with doctors and other caregivers in the organization.

As a caregiver in the psychiatric emergency department, you work in a team with nurses and doctors. Together with the nurse, you are responsible for intake interviews, triage, and testing of the patient upon arrival at the emergency department. You also participate in assessment interviews with doctors as well as monitoring and caring for patients during their stay.

Your Skills and Competencies

You have a degree from a nursing program, preferably with a focus on psychiatric care or another caregiver education. Alternatively, you are currently in training within care, treatment, or social work. Experience in psychiatric care is an advantage.

As a person, you are engaged in your work and responsive to the patient's care needs. You are flexible and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the ability to collaborate.
